Wharfage Dues on Cargo

The rates of wharfage dues on cargo (whether inward cargo or outward cargo) shall be as follows :-

Petroleum products  
(a) Bulk, by pipeline $3.30 per tonne
(b) bunkers, on which inward wharfage has not been paid per kL $2.20 per Kl
Fertilisers  
Including rock phosphate and sulphur in bulk and landed loose $2.74 per tonne
Minerals  
Minerals $1.65 per tonne
Grain  
Wheat, barley, lupins and oats $1.41 per tonne
Miscellaneous  
Soda Ash $2.55 per tonne
Processed stock food for consumption on voyage $1.13 per tonne
Water $0.56 per Kl

Vessel Charges

A vessel shall be charged at the rate of $0.8663 (gst inc) for each tonne/kilolitre of cargo loaded or discharged.

A vessel charge of $4.40 (gst inc) per passenger head applies to Cruise Ships.

A vessel charge of $16.50 (gst inc) for empty TEU.


Berthage Charge

A berthage charge of 8.25 cents per GRT per day - with 25% of the next day to have passed before another full day is charged.

Movements

The Pilotage of a vessel moved to and from a location other than the normal Pilot boarding ground, including from berth to berth: $550.00


Detention and/or Cancellation

Where a Pilot is detained while waiting for a vessel to depart or is called to the boarding ground and a vessel does not arrive at the time given or the arrival is cancelled, the detention charged per hour or part thereof is $550.00

ENGAGEMENT OF TUGS

The engagement of all tugs is to be arranged with Mackenzie's Tug Service (MTS) by 1600 hours on the working day prior to the ship movement.

Orders can be changed by advising MTS not less than 2 hours prior to the ship’s previously nominated movement time or as mutually agreed.

DETENTION FEE Tugs are manned and vessel movement commences after two (2) hours from the nominated engagement time. $800/tug/hour or part thereof
TOWAGE CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULE FEE

Cancellation of booking inside the timeframe outlined above.

A minimum of 2 hours notice from the previously nominated time for the ship’s movement is required for the rescheduled time.

LAUNCH HIRE
Charged per hour or part thereof and are applicable when transporting personnel, equipment, stores and/or charts to/from ships

Ordinary hours outside port limits, Monday to Friday 0800-1700 (excluding Public Holidays).

Notes

  • Rates valid from 1st August 2007 and supersede all previous issues.
  • Rates are for one tug used one way ie in or out of Esperance Port, or a berth movement.
  • If a third tug is required, a 28 tonne bollard pull tug will cost an extra $3,000 per shipping movement and is subject to availability.
  • Settlement discount is applicable if payment received within payment terms of 21 days from date of tax invoice issue.
  • All towage undertaken subject to the standard towage conditions as recommended by the UK Standard Conditions for Towage and Other Services (revised edition 1986).
